COMPARE THE REQUIREMENTS
ATS Keyword Gap Checker
Find the skill gaps between your resume and a job description.
Paste the actual job description and your resume. Compare the technical skills the employer mentions with the evidence in your document. Review each gap before changing your application.
What this comparison measures
The checker recognizes the technical skill aliases in our IT catalog. Coverage is matched catalog skills divided by catalog skills found in the job description. Java and JavaScript are different terms. Related categories can overlap, so the count is not an independent count of competencies.
Turn a gap into an honest application
A missing keyword is a review prompt. If you have used the technology, add a concrete project or work example. If you have not, keep it in a learning plan rather than presenting it as experience. Read the full description for responsibilities, years of experience and eligibility.
What an ATS can also evaluate
Employer systems differ. Formatting, required questions, location, qualifications and recruiter judgment are outside this keyword comparison. A high overlap is not an ATS pass, interview probability or proficiency certificate.
BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP
Useful answers.
Is the ATS keyword checker free?
Yes. You can paste both documents and compare detected technical skills without an account. Text is analyzed in your browser.
Does this reproduce an employer’s ATS score?
No. It measures catalog skill mentions in two texts. Employer ATS rules, screening questions and recruiter decisions are not available to this tool.
Should I add every missing keyword?
Only add a skill if you can explain real use or clearly label it as learning. Unsupported keywords can make your resume less credible.
Is my job description uploaded?
No. The comparison runs locally. Publishing a separate anonymous readiness card is an explicit action and never includes these documents.
